A Little Darkness, A Little Magic, and a Whole Lot of New Adventures!

It's been a busy and exciting time in my little corner of the literary world, and I have quite a few things to share with you! From a brand-new release to exciting developments in an ongoing fantasy series, there's a little something for everyone. So, grab your favorite drink, settle in, and let me catch you up on what's happening!

Closer Has Arrived!

First things first, my newest psychological horror novel, Closer, officially made its debut on Halloween!

What better time to release a ghost story than the one night of the year when the world seems a little more willing to believe in the things that go bump in the night?

Closer follows Ezra, a man struggling with the devastating loss of his fiancée. But grief is only the beginning. As strange and increasingly unsettling things begin happening around him, Ezra finds himself questioning his own sanity. Is he losing his mind, or is someone he desperately wants to see again trying to find their way back to him?

And then there's the town itself. A place with a troubling history of missing persons, secrets, and something that may have been lurking in the shadows far longer than anyone realizes.

It's a story about love, loss, grief, and the things that sometimes refuse to stay buried.

Closer is currently available on Kindle for just $0.99 through Saturday, November 7! Physical copies are also on the way, so keep an eye out for another announcement soon.

If you enjoy psychological horror, unsettling mysteries, and stories that leave you thinking long after you've turned the final page, I hope you'll give Ezra's story a chance.

A New Chapter in The Fae Chronicles: Ashes Beneath the Ice

For those of you who have been following The Fae Chronicles, I have some exciting news!

The next installment in the series now has an official title:

The Fae Chronicles: Ashes Beneath the Ice

Following the events of Battle for the Underworld, the realms are left facing the difficult task of rebuilding. With Lord Kai gone and Lady Neve stripped of her title, new leadership must be established in both Ifreann and Oighear. The wounds left behind by betrayal and years of distrust won't simply disappear because the threat has passed.

Queen Esta has begun the work of restoring balance, establishing fairer laws, and reopening trade between the realms. But even as peace begins to take shape, there are still hearts that need healing, loyalties that must be rebuilt, and difficult decisions waiting just beyond the horizon.

And as we learned in the epilogue, peace can be a terribly fragile thing.

I'm looking forward to exploring these new chapters, introducing readers to the next stage of the realms' history, and seeing where these characters take me. There is still plenty of magic, mythology, heartache, and darkness ahead!

The journey is far from over.

Shadows of Willow's Creek Is Getting a Paperback!

I also have some exciting news for readers who enjoy a little paranormal mystery!

My short story, Shadows of Willow's Creek, is getting a paperback edition, and this one is going to be a little special.

The new physical edition will feature original artwork created by my husband, Elliott T. Campbell, along with my own photography throughout the book. I'm particularly excited about bringing these elements together to create something that feels a little more personal and atmospheric.

For those unfamiliar with the story, Shadows of Willow's Creek follows a group of young people searching for a missing friend after a camping trip takes a frightening turn. But Willow Creek has secrets of its own, and every twenty-five years, something terrible seems to happen.

Some mysteries are better left alone. Unfortunately, some have a way of finding you.

Every twenty-five years, Willow Creek demands a sacrifice.

I'll share more details about the paperback release as soon as everything is ready!

Until Our Next Adventure...

I want to take a moment to thank everyone who has picked up one of my books, followed along with my writing journey, shared a post, or simply taken the time to show an interest in the stories I create.

Writing can be a strange and sometimes solitary adventure. We spend countless hours building worlds, breathing life into characters, and putting pieces of ourselves into stories that eventually find their way into someone else's hands. Knowing that someone out there is willing to step into those worlds with me means more than I can adequately express.

There are plenty more stories waiting to be told, and I can't wait to share them with you.

Until then, keep your eyes open, trust your instincts, and remember...

Not everything that disappears is truly gone. And not everything that waits in the darkness wants to be found.

Happy reading!

— Joli G. Campbell
